Practicing spiritual higher power is in many ways different from spiritual activities. Even if one is not religious and can’t offer religious services, they can still engage in spiritual self care activities.

In simple words, spiritual self care practices involve sparing time for yourself from your daily schedule to rejuvenate your soul.

Yoga plays a huge role in harmonizing mind, body, and spirit. Different forms of Yoga have different health benefits, some being known to heal many chronic diseases. Along with its physical benefits, it channels emotions through different Yogasans and nourishes the soul.

Our constant attention towards the notification bell distracts us from reality. The simple solution to disengage from social media is disabling your notification bells or setting time limits for distracting applications. If this doesn’t help, you can fetch help from digital detoxes and other free resources to set aside time and unplug from technology, giving you time to heal and practice spiritual self care. 


8. Don’t Bottle Up, Try Talking

Traveling to new destinations helps you broaden horizons and expand your mind, increasing its absorbing power.

Spiritual self care can also be attained by visiting pilgrimage sites. Different religions around the world have different sites that spread peace and help you calm your nerves.  Visiting such locations allow followers to step out and explore a different part of the world to discover your true self.

If you feel anxious or increased heartbeat rate, breathe in and out for 5-8 counts. This has a soothing effect that can reduce nervousness.

Just Dance

Put on a party song on your earphones and Dance until you are out of your breath. Sometimes, spiritual self care is all about getting it out of your system.

Talk to Yourself

Put yourself in situations and answer yourself. This way, you will find your fears and improve your responsivity to situations.

Take Healthy Meals

Pick a healthy diet and change your eating habits. The body’s good state is very important for spiritual self care, so avoid carbonated drinks and junk foods.

Reward Yourself

Give yourself a treat from time to time. The best way to reinforce healthy habits is to reward yourself. Eat what you like the most, dress up, or go to your favorite place, the key takeaway here is spending time for yourself.

Stop Loathing Yourself

Learn from your mistakes and move forward. Self-loathing is a toxic trait that can only affect you adversely.

Love Yourself

In the end, I would only say that the day you would start valuing yourself, all your suffering shall come to an end. Mental Well being is as much important as physical well-being. 

Spiritual self care is defined according to the person practicing it, so try and figure out what works for you. There is no exact right or wrong path to physical and emotional self-care. Just follow your heart do what pleases you.
