Sometimes we simply need a reminder. If you have a setback, or if you are just having a bad day, a reminder can reset your thought processes, helping bring your self-image back to where it should be.

The reminders I use most often are podcasts. I have a couple of regular favorites, but when I am really in a funk, I search for a new podcast that relates to what I am feeling about myself or my life, and I listen to it. You would be surprised at the number of times that I do that simple ritual and hear something that changes my perspective.

The act of looking for a podcast to listen to also interrupts your thought processes and forces you to stop negative self-talk because you are deliberately focusing on something else.
