As a result, images produced by this specific clear gel are significantly clearer and more accurate than those produced by other dye-containing solutions.2

Allergic Reactions/Skin Irritation

Alternatives to ultrasound gel may not be suitable for those with sensitive skin. During pregnancy, women, in particular, may experience abrupt allergic responses to some creams & body lotions as a result of the tremendous hormonal changes they undergo. Ultrasound gels are free of impure substances that could cause skin irritation. As a result, they are usually safer and more beneficial.
