Tricky Tacos
Also known as a tricky Taco shell, this is not an ordinary Taco. Cookies are turned into Taco shells with a sweet yummy filling inside. The recipe is an absolute delight for the kids as they will relish the tacos magical feeling.
The following ingredients are needed:
Light brown sugar (¼ cup)
Pinch of ground cinnamon
Wheat flour (1/3 cup)
Vanilla extract (1/4 teaspoon)
1 large egg
1 ½ teaspoons unsalted butter, softened
Aluminium foil
The process: The oven should be pre-heated at 375 F to start the process. Pour the brown sugar, flour and cinnamon into a bowl and stir. The vanilla and the egg are then added and mixed lightly until the butter is folded finally into it. Then chill it for 5 minutes in the freezer.
Take a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and serve cookie dough into 2 circle shapes about 2 inches apart and bake them for 5-6 minutes until golden brown. And while the cookies are baking make some aluminum foil into a log shape.
Move fast, and place the cookies over the foil log. And once the cookies have cooled down remove the foil carefully. You have just made your first taco shells.
Blueberry-Banana Stacks
An easy snack to make, the blueberry banana stacks consist of strawberry flavoured cream cheese spread on popcorn cakes and topped with fresh fruit.
The following ingredients are needed:
4 or 6 mini chocolate, berry or caramel flavoured popcorn cakes
Strawberry flavoured cream cheese (1 to 2 tablespoons)
4 or 6 slices of banana
4 or 6 blueberries
The process: You just have to spread cakes with strawberry cream cheese topped with banana slices, and then an additional cream cheese with a blueberry on the top. You have your blueberry banana stacks served and ready!
Safari Snack
Finger-food snacks are loved by kids of all ages, and it’s icing on the cake if they also have a nutritional value associated. A combination of celery and peanut butter is used in this recipe and also animal crackers garnished with fresh fruit.
The following ingredients are needed:
1/2 of an 8-ounce fat cream cheese, softened
½ cup creamy peanut butter
honey (2 teaspoons)
milk (2-3 tablespoons)
Animal crackers, celery sticks, carrot sticks and pear wedges.
The process: Take a bowl and beat cream cheese with an electric mixer on medium speed until smooth, and then add peanut butter, honey and milk until all of it is a well-combined mix. The dip is hence ready. You can serve by spreading the dip on celery sticks with animal crackers and cut-up fresh fruit. Enjoy!
